　平素より仮想計算機システムQUEENSをご利用いただきありがとうございます．

　QUEENSは2018年3月からサービス提供を開始し，Windows／Linuxの仮想計算機環境としてご利用していただいておりました．その後，Linux仮想環境については2022年2月末でサービス提供を終了し，その後はWindows仮想環境のみのサービス提供を継続しております．
　今年度は，現在までのWindows仮想環境のご利用状況等を精査し，また，過去にご利用されたユーザの方へ利用実態や今後の利用予定等について調査を進めて参りました．調査の結果，
　・年々利用者数や利用時間が減少していること
　・利用者の大半が一時的なご利用であること
が分かりました．これらの状況に加え，
　・外部のクラウド事業者による仮想環境の無償利用サービスの提供など代替手段が確保できること
　・近年の運用費や保守費の高騰，教育DX推進など近年重要性を増したサービスを安定的に運用するための予算確保が必要なこと
などの観点から総合的に判断し，2023年度末(2024年3月末日)にQUEENSの全サービスを終了する予定になりました．

　代替手段のご案内等については，情報統括本部の教育情報サービスのWebサイトに情報を載せていく予定にしております．ご利用のみなさまにはご不便をおかけしてしまいますが，何卒ご理解いただき，2023年度中に代替手段等をご検討いただきますようよろしくお願いいたします．

Thank you for using the Virtual Computing System QUEENS.

QUEENS began service in March 2018 and has been used as a virtual computing environment for Windows and Linux. The Linux virtual environment was discontinued at the end of February 2022, and since then only the Windows virtual environment has been available.
This year, we have reviewed the usage status of the Windows virtual environment and conducted a survey of past users regarding their usage and future plans. The results of the survey revealed the following:
・The number of users and usage time has been decreasing year by year.
・Most users use the system only temporarily.
In addition to these findings, we have comprehensively considered the following factors and decided to discontinue all QUEENS services at the end of the 2023 fiscal year (March 31, 2024):
・Availability of alternative services such as free virtual environments provided by external cloud vendors.
・Rising operational and maintenance costs, and the need to secure budgets for stable operation of services that have become increasingly important, such as promoting educational DX.
